10) LA LAURIE
LaLaurie was a sadistic socialite who lived in New Orleans. Her home was a chamber of horrors. On April 10, 1834, a fire broke out in the mansion’s kitchen, and firefighters found two slaves chained to the stove. They appeared to have started the fire themselves, in order to attract attention. The firefighters were lead by other slaves to the attic, where the real surprise was. Over a dozen disfigured and maimed slaves were manacled to the walls or floors. Several had been the subjects of gruesome medical experiments. One man appeared to be part of some bizarre sex change, a woman was trapped in a small cage with her limbs broken and reset to look like a crab, and another woman with arms and legs removed, and patches of her flesh sliced off in a circular motion to resemble a caterpillar. Some had had their mouths sewn shut, and had subsequently starved to death, whilst others had their hands sewn to different parts of their bodies. Most were found dead, but some were alive and begging to be killed, to release them from the pain. LaLaurie fled before she could be brought to justice – she was never caught.
9)Ilse Koch
Known as The “Bitch of Buchenwald” because of her sadistic cruelty towards prisoners, Ilse Koch was married to another evil Nazi, who served in the SS, Karl Otto Koch, but outshone him in the depraved, inhumane disregard for life which was her trademark. She used her sexual prowess by wandering around the camps naked, with a whip, and if any man so much as glanced at her she would have them shot on the spot. The most infamous accusation against Ilse Koch was that she had selected inmates with interesting tattoos to be killed, so that their skins could be made into lampshades for her home (though, unfortunately, no evidence of these lampshades has been found). After the war she was arrested and spent time in prison on different charges, eventually hanging herself in her cell in 1967, apparently consumed by guilt.
8) Shirō Ishii
Ishii was a microbiologist and the lieutenant general of Unit 731, a biological warfare unit of the Imperial Japanese Army during the Second Sino-Japanese War. He was born in the former Shibayama Village of Sanbu District in Chiba Prefecture, and studied medicine at Kyoto Imperial University. In 1932, he began his preliminary experiments in biological warfare as a secret project for the Japanese military. In 1936, Unit 731 was formed. Ishii built a huge compound — more than 150 buildings over six square kilometers — outside the city of Harbin, China.Some of the numerous atrocities committed by Ishii, and others under his command in Unit 731, include: vivisection of living people (including pregnant women who were impregnated by the doctors), prisoners had limbs amputated and reattached to other parts of their body, some prisoners had parts of their bodies frozen and thawed to study the resulting untreated gangrene. Humans were also used as living test cases for grenades and flame throwers. Prisoners were injected with inoculations of disease, disguised as vaccinations, to study their effects. To study the effects of untreated venereal diseases, male and female prisoners were deliberately infected with syphilis and gonorrhea via rape, then studied. .Having been granted immunity by the American Occupation Authorities at the end of the war, Ishii never spent any time in jail for his crimes and died at the age of 67, of throat cancer.
7)Ivan IV of Russia
Ivan IV of Russia, also know as Ivan the Terrible, was the Grand Duke of Muscovy, from 1533 to 1547, and was the first ruler of Russia to assume the title of Tsar. In 1570, Ivan was under the belief that the elite of the city of Novgorod planned to defect to Poland, and led an army to stop them, on January 2. Ivan’s soldiers built walls around the perimeter of the city in order to prevent the people of the city escaping. Between 500 and 1000 people were gathered every day by the troops, then tortured and killed in front of Ivan and his son. In 1581, Ivan beat his pregnant daughter-in-law for wearing immodest clothing, causing a miscarriage. His son, also named Ivan, upon learning of this, engaged in a heated argument with his father, which resulted in Ivan striking his son in the head with his pointed staff, causing his son’s (accidental) death.
6)Oliver Cromwell
The Cromwellian conquest of Ireland (1649–53) refers to the re-conquest of Ireland by the forces of the English Parliament, led by Oliver Cromwell, during the Wars of the Three Kingdoms. The consequence of this conquest (in order to displace Catholic authority) was 200,000 civilian deaths from war-related famine and disease, and 50 thousand Irish being taken as slaves. Cromwell considered Catholics to be heretics so the Irish conquest was a modern day Crusade for him. The bitterness caused by the Cromwellian settlement was a powerful source of Irish nationalism from the 17th century onwards. He died in 1658, and was so hated that, in 1661, he was exhumed from the grave and given a posthumous execution – his corpse was hung in chains at Tyburn, and he was later dismembered and his remains thrown into a pit, with his head being displayed on a pole outside Westminster Hall for the next twenty-four years.

Jiang Qing was the wife of Mao Tse-tung, the Communist dictator of China. Through clever maneuvering, she managed to reach the highest position of power within the communist party (short of being President). It is believed that she was the main driving force behind China’s Cultural Revolution (of which she was the deputy director). During the Cultural Revolution, much economic activity was halted, and countless ancient buildings, artifacts, antiques, books and paintings were destroyed by Red Guards. The 10 years of the Cultural Revolution also brought the education system to a virtual halt, and many intellectuals were sent to prison camps. Millions of people in China, reportedly, had their human rights annulled during the Cultural Revolution. Millions more were also forcibly displaced. Estimates of the death toll – civilians and Red Guards – from various Western and Eastern sources are about 500,000 in the true years of chaos of 1966—1969, but some estimates are as high as 3 million deaths, with 36 million being persecuted.
4)Pol Pot
Pol Pot was the leader of the Khmer Rouge and the Prime Minister of Cambodia, from 1976 to 1979, having been de facto leader since mid-1975. During his time in power, Pol Pot imposed an extreme version of agrarian communism where all city dwellers were relocated to the countryside to work in collective farms and forced labour projects. The combined effect of slave labour, malnutrition, poor medical care and executions is estimated to have killed around 2 million Cambodians (approximately one third of the population). His regime achieved special notoriety for singling out all intellectuals and other “bourgeois enemies” for murder. The Khmer Rouge committed mass executions in sites known as the Killing Fields. The executed were buried in mass graves. In order to save ammunition, executions were often carried out using hammers, axe handles, spades or sharpened bamboo sticks.
3)Heinrich Himmler
Heinrich Himmler, the architect of the holocaust and final solution, and considered to be the biggest mass murderer ever, by some (although it’s really Josef Stalin). The holocaust would not have happened if not for this man. He tried to breed a master race of Nordic appearance, the Aryan race. His plans for racial purity were ended by Hitler’s vanity in making rash military decisions rather than letting his generals make them, thus ending the war prematurely. Himmler was captured after the war. He unsuccessfully tried to negotiate with the west, and was genuinely shocked to be treated as a criminal upon capture. He committed suicide by swallowing a cyanide capsule he had bit upon.
2)Adolf Hitler
Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany in 1933, becoming “Führer” in 1934 until his suicide in 1945. By the end of the second world war, Hitler’s policies of territorial conquest and racial subjugation had brought death and destruction to tens of millions of people, including the genocide of some six million Jews, in what is now known as the Holocaust. On 30 April, 1945, after intense street-to-street combat, when Soviet troops were spotted within a block or two of the Reich Chancellory, Hitler committed suicide, shooting himself while simultaneously biting into a cyanide capsule. Hitler ranks over Himmler merely for the fact that it was in his power to prevent Himmler’s policies being implemented.

Stalin was General Secretary of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union’s Central Committee, from 1922 until his death, in 1953. Under Stalin’s leadership, the Ukraine suffered from a famine (Holodomor) so great it is considered by many to be an act of genocide on the part of Stalin’s government. Estimates of the number of deaths range from 2.5 million to 10 million. The famine was caused by direct political and administrative decisions. In addition to the famine, Stalin ordered purges within the Soviet Union of any person deemed to be an enemy of the state. In total, estimates of the number murdered under Stalins reign, range from 10 million to 60 million.

New year resolutions and its Palava
I woke up that morning and reached for my phone, I checked the date on my device and behold it was that time again!! 31st of Dec.
I picked up my notepad and started writing. 30mins later I was done and three pages of the notepad was full.. "HIAN!! Na me sha get new year resolution pass for the whole world" I said to myself as I studied the list once more.
Its funny how every year I do this same stuff and at the end I never follow through. Am I weak? Or is it a human trait? How come we always plan but at the end nothing goes as planned? Eg last year I had decided to break up with Dayo and I even swore to my friends but Dayo had to go and propose and now am hitched to him like we are siamese twins.
Tsssswwww!! I hissed, as I saw the number 4 resolution on my list, I had decided to ditch my friend Tracy. "Kai! That girl get for hand" I murmured, and I wonder why am still even friends with her. I moved on to number 5 and laughed, number 5 involved reading every day for at least 2 hours. (Like I would ever do that,but it was worth a try) , by the time I was done reading through the list,I got angry and tore it all the while angry.
I threw the useless paper away and got up from my bed. Biko I would live 2014 as it comes and pray to God that he leads and guide's me to do the right things at all times, after all my plans are not His plans and I can write for all eternity and still not have the discipline to follow through but only God can help me and so with that in mind, I knelt down to pray and committed 2014 into His able hands

Top 10 mysteries that shocked the world and will shock you!!!!READ!
The world is full of mysteries, and the human race loves nothing better than to find answers to them. Frequently, though, the answers aren't as popular as the mysteries themselves, and people will just continue right on believing, even when the evidence is right there, why don't you just look?
1) Jack the Ripper
Jack the Ripper is possibly the best-known unidentified serial killer of all time. He remains one of the most deadly and elusive murderers known to man. He brutally murdered between four and nine prostitutes in an impoverished area of London over a four-month period in 1888.
London police received hundreds of letters about the case, ranging from concerned citizens to people claiming to be the murderer himself. It remains a mystery if any of these letters were actually sent by the killer himself or simply an attention seeker.
Jack the Ripper became a villain of the worst kind in London. Children were frightened of him as they would be a monster.
Despite an intense investigation, the true identity of the murderer was never found.
(2) The Shroud of Turin
The Shroud of Turin is a linen cloth with the image of a man who many believe to be Jesus.
There are many disputes about the actual origin of the cloth. Some believe it was the actual cloth placed on the body of Jesus when he was buried. Others believe that the artifact was created in the Middle Ages, because its carbon dating age is between 1260 and 1390.
Scientists continue to study the Shroud, attempting to determine if its origins truly date to Jesus Christ. Hundreds of books, articles and television documentaries have been dedicated to the subject, but no one knows for sure where or who the Shroud came from.
3)THE OVERTOUN BRIDGE
The Overtoun Bridge in Dumbarton, Scotland, has become famous for the number of unexplained instances in which dogs have leapt to their deaths.
The first incident was recorded in the 1950s when it was noticed that dogs would suddenly and unexpectedly jump off the bridge and fall to their deaths. What makes it even more mysterious is that many of the dogs jump from the same side and from almost the same spot: between the final two parapets on the right-hand side of the bridge.
In the past 50 years, some 50 dogs have leapt to their deaths from the bridge.
During one six-month period in 2006, five dogs jumped to their deaths.
The dogs affected are mainly long-nosed breeds: labradors, collies and retrievers.
Dorren Graham, of the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals told the Daily Mail the phenomenon was a "heartbreaking mystery".
"There are lots of owners whose dogs have died and who are trying to find out why they jumped."

In 1973, William Peter Blatty’s bestselling novel, The Exorcist, was adapted into one of the most successful movies of all time. It told the story of a young girl being possessed by a demon, and believe it or not, it was actually inspired by a real-life incident. In 1949, a 13-year-old boy from Cottage City, Maryland was supposedly possessed by a demon and subject to an exorcism. To protect his identity, he has only been publicly referred to as “Roland Doe” or “Robbie Mannheim”. After the death of his spiritualist aunt, Roland reportedly became obsessed with using a Ouija board to contact her. Soon afterward, the family’s home was plagued by strange noises and unexplained supernatural activity.
The family’s Lutheran minister feared that Roland might be possessed, so two Catholic priests–Father Raymond J. Bishop and Father William J. Bowdern–were brought in to perform an exorcism on him at Georgetown University Hospital. The exorcism was performed 30 times over the course of several weeks. Roland reportedly exhibited violent behavior and often spoke Latin in a demonic voice while words like “evil” and “hell” mysteriously appeared on his body. After the exorcism was complete, the family experienced no more problems and Roland grew up to live a normal life. There has been much debate about whether Roland was actually possessed or if a lot of these stories have been fabricated and the boy was merely experiencing psychological problems. Since his true identity is still a secret after all these years, the full truth may never be known.

In the mid-eighteenth century, hunters in the Ochamchir region of Georgia (a Province of Russia on the edge of the Black sea) captured a ‘wild woman’ who had ape-like features, a massive bosom, thick arms, legs, and fingers, and was covered with hair. This ‘wild woman’, named Zana by her captors, was so violent at first that she had to spend many years in a cage with food being tossed to her. Eventually, she was domesticated and would perform simple tasks, like grinding corn. She had an incredible endurance against cold, and couldn’t stand to be in a heated room. She enjoyed gorging herself on grapes from the vine, and also had a weakness for wines, often drinking so heavily she would sleep for hours. As Colin Wilson points out in The Encyclopedia of Unsolved Mysteries, this is likely how she became the mother of many children to different fathers. These children usually died when she tried to wash them in the freezing river. The villagers started to take her children away from her and raise them as their own; unlike their mother, the children developed the ability to communicate as well as any other villager. Zana died in the village about 1890; the youngest of her children died in 1954. Her story was researched by Professor Porchnev who interviewed many old people (one as old as a hundred and five) who remembered Zana, as well as two of her grandchildren. The grandchildren had dark skin, and the grandson, named Shalikula, had jaws so powerful that he could lift a chair with a man sitting in it. It is believed that Zana may have somehow been a surviving member a previous evolutionary state of man.

This cannot be disputed: the Walt Disney Company is one of the United States’ oldest and most successful entertainment conglomerates. It was founded in 1923, and as of this writing consists of a certifiably insane number of subsidiaries.
It also can’t be disputed that, though a traditionally family-oriented business, Disney has allowed intimate images to make their way not only into completed cuts of their films, but also promotional and poster artwork. Many instances have been pointed out, from the overt (a couple of frames showing an image of a Coverless woman in The Rescuers) to the puzzling (a spire of the castle on the VHS cover of The Little Mermaid looks a hell of a lot like an erect joystick) to the questionable (at one point in Aladdin, the Genie can be heard muttering offscreen something that sounds like “good teenagers, take off your clothes”). In each and every instance, changes were made to further releases, and chalked up to jokes by animators or simple misunderstandings. Why would Disney want to expose children (so to speak) to inappropriate intimate content, anyway?
Well, conspiracy theorists have their answers: Disney is all about sexualizing children. The Disney Company, they assert, wants to suck all of the money from the parents’ wallets while rendering their children compliant, subservient consumers, and early exposure to these sexualized images is the first step in that process. Also, they say, because it’s evil—mind-bogglingly, Satanically evil.
Operation MKULTRA. Was started in the Mid 1970's and this operation involves Mind controlling powerful celebrities and organisations to act in a certain way eg intimate,murder etc. They also say that MKULTRA never stopped, it just changed its name to “Monarch” and not only has it been perfected, but practically all of the world’s most famous celebrities have participated. Especially those employed by DISNEY.
The programming supposedly consists of ritualized, regulated trauma and abuse, designed to cause the subject to “dissociate” and undergo a break from reality. Then, the “handler” is able to wall off and create multiple personalities—blank slates which can be programmed for a variety of purposes, like singing and dancing. Or killing. Or sex. Or all of the above.
According to the theory, this programming usually begins in fairly early childhood, sometimes with the direct cooperation of the parent. The subjects are used throughout their childhood and teens as sex slaves for the rich and powerful, and their public images are carefully nurtured. THESE IMAGES ARE PLOTTED ON A TRAJECTORY FROM SQUEAKY-CLEAN CHILD STAR, TO A SUBTLY SEXUALISED TEEN IDOL, TO FULL-BLOWN OBJECT OF DESIRE (LIKE LINDSAY LOHAN OR BRITNEY SPEARS OR EVEN MILEY CYRUS WHOM WERE WORKING FOR DISNEY AS CHILDREN). When such celebrities “melt down” (display bizarre public behavior), it’s not simply the pressures of stardom, but broken mind-control programming. And they don’t go off to rehab, but to be reprogrammed.

In Nigeria these days,having a good and fruitful relationship has become even harder than getting a job for many people! Lol.I have met many people throughout my study at the university and by listening to their complains about relationships I have come up with this list. without wasting much time;
(1)Being too Demanding on your boyfriend- i know many ladies would wanna eat me raw for saying this but a girl's got to say what a girls go to say(lol) Your boyfriend knows that he has to buy you stuff and give u money,he knows that its he's responsibility but I promise you,he doesn't really wanna hear u asking him. asking your boyfriend often for material things and cash will only make him feel like u are in it just for money...if its money u want make it clear,don't lead a good guy on..limit your demands ladies.
(2)RESPECT YOUR MAN- I don't know how most ladies pull this off but I get so sad when I see ladies talking rudely to their man. its just sad and I often wonder how they enjoy the relationship..I hear some ladies talking to their man on phone and I shake my head,I could argue that they are actually talking to their servants. How can u open your mouth and insult your man?? Seriously its wrong on many levels,if u don't respect your man,u are just chasing him away into the hands of another woman. he will get fed up and leave you one day..Talk to your man nicely,respect he's opinions, and he will certainly reciprocate.

The start of a wonderful journey
Ever since I discovered a very nice blog on google,owned by this very creative lady named Pearl,I knew I could do it. I was convinced that I could do exactly what she was doing. My passion for writing has brought me thus far and I know it would also keep me.
